Nancy L. Pedersen is a Professor of Genetic Epidemiology at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She is an authority on genetics of aging,
At the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (MEB) we focus on research and teaching within the fields of epidemiology and biostatistics. The department is also host to KI Biobank and the Swedish Twin Registry. Our research aims to increase knowledge about the causes of disease and encompasses clinical, molecular and genetic research as well as biostatistical methodology.
Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital are therefore establishing a new centre at Campus Flemingsberg that will offer expertise and networking opportunities for the preclinical and clinical research environment in the area. Today's research is generating more and more big data, which means that the demand for bioinformatics and biostatistics is growing. The goal of the course is to equip the future Masters in Biomedicine with basic tools for understanding statistics in research - their own as well as others. Division of Biostatistics, Nobels väg 13, Karolinska Institutet, 17177 Stockholm, Sweden The backbone of the Karolinska Institutet Biostatistics Core Facility are its biostatisticians. The quality of the provided service ultimately depends on them. Their competence and happiness are of utmost importance to us. The Karolinska Institutet Biostatistics Core Facility provides.
Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Public Health Sciences. Researchers in epidemiology, biostatistics and public health sciences study how the environment, lifestyle and genetic factors affect health and the aetiology of disease. This knowledge is used to create methods and approaches for the prevention of disease and ill health.

In addition to four professors of biostatistics, it contains biostatisticians at all levels of the academic career ladder, a vibrant group of around 15 doctoral students, and a group of approximately 10 applied biostatisticians. Today's research is generating more and more big data, which means that the demand for bioinformatics and biostatistics is growing. Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital are therefore establishing a new centre at Campus Flemingsberg that will offer expertise and networking opportunities for the preclinical and clinical research environment in the area.
